Do Not Sell or Share My Personal Information
California residents (under the CCPA / CPRA) and residents of other U.S. states with comparable privacy statutes have the right to opt out of the sale or sharing of their personal information. This page documents Barker's practices and provides a verifiable request process.
Version 0.1 · Effective 2026-04-22
Barker does not sell or share your personal information
Barker does not sell personal information for monetary or other valuable consideration, and does not share personal information for cross-context behavioral advertising, as those terms are defined under the CCPA / CPRA and analogous state statutes. We do not run advertising on the Barker product, and we do not trade, rent, or auction customer or visitor data to third parties for marketing purposes.
Because we do not engage in any sale or share, exercising your opt-out has no practical effect on our processing. We will, however, still log and confirm your request in writing on request.
State-by-state opt-out summary
The table below summarizes the opt-out rights afforded by each state-law regime Barker recognizes. Residents of states not listed here may still submit a request and we will treat it under our high-water-mark standard. See the full state-rights section of the Privacy Policy for the complete list of recognized statutes.
| State | Statute | Opt-out rights |
|---|---|---|
| California | CCPA / CPRA | Opt out of the “sale” or “sharing” of personal information for cross-context behavioral advertising; limit use of sensitive personal information. |
| Virginia | VCDPA | Opt out of sale, targeted advertising, and profiling that produces legal or similarly significant effects. |
| Colorado | CPA | Opt out of sale, targeted advertising, and profiling that produces legal or similarly significant effects. |
| Connecticut | CTDPA | Opt out of sale, targeted advertising, and profiling in furtherance of decisions that produce legal or similarly significant effects. |
| Utah | UCPA | Opt out of sale of personal data and targeted advertising. |
| Texas | TDPSA | Opt out of sale, targeted advertising, and certain profiling activities. |
| Nevada | SB 220 | Opt out of the sale of “covered information” as defined by Nevada law. |
How to submit a verifiable opt-out request
To submit a request to opt out of any sale, sharing, targeted advertising, or profiling activity (including activities we do not engage in, for which we will issue a confirming statement), email us with the following information so that we can verify your identity and locate any data we may hold about you:
- Your full legal name
- The state of residence whose law you are invoking
- The email address you have used with Barker (if any), or a statement that you have not previously contacted us
- A brief description of the request (e.g., "CCPA opt-out of sale and sharing")
- Whether you are submitting on your own behalf or as an authorized agent (if as an agent, attach a signed authorization)
Send the request to privacy@barkercrm.com with subject line Do Not Sell or Share Request. We will respond within the timeline required by your state's statute (typically 45 days for CCPA, with one 45-day extension available where reasonably necessary).
Global Privacy Control (GPC)
Barker recognizes the Global Privacy Control browser signal as a valid opt-out request from California residents under the CCPA / CPRA. Because Barker does not currently engage in any sale or sharing of personal information for cross-context behavioral advertising, the GPC signal does not change our processing today; if our practices ever change, the signal will be honored automatically without any further action on your part.
Authorized agents
You may use an authorized agent to submit a request on your behalf. To verify the agent's authority, we will require either (a) a qualifying legal authorization executed by you under applicable state law, or (b) a written authorization signed by you, plus verification of your own identity (e.g., we may contact you to confirm).
Non-discrimination
We will not deny goods or services, charge a different price, or provide a different level or quality of service because you exercised any privacy right described on this page. The only exception is where the difference is reasonably related to the value of your data (e.g., a loyalty program tied to data sharing) — and Barker currently runs no such program.
